  • What made you first become a model?

I never had an interest in modeling honestly, but I was at a gas station one day and a photographer came up to me saying he would love to shoot me , I figured I'd try it out.

  • How did you feel when you did your first ever fashion show or photo shoot?

Yeah I was kind of nervous at first.Honestly I'm so awkward haha. I didn't know poses or anything, so I was worried that the pictures wouldn't turn out right. My photographer was really easy to work with and made me feel better about it.

  • Who was your role model as a child an how did that help in being a model?

My mom is for sure my role model. She always worked hard and rarely complained about it. Whenever she would go out she would always look her best and I definitely practice that everyday.

  • What did your parent first think of you being a model and where they supportive?

My parents were definitely supportive in my decision to model. Of course with most parents they were worried about my safety. They would  worry if I was in good hands or sketchy areas, but they definitely supported me.

  • How do you feel about the controversy of the size 0 debate in the industry.

I think that the size 0 debate had definitely decreased, but with that being said there are still many runway designers that mostly have size 0 models which is unfortunate. Although many people and brands have definitely broken the trend and the results have been phenomenal in promoting more sales and body positivity.

  • If your were not a model, what other profession would you have been doing instead?

Well modeling or not I'd definitely be doing something in the medical field as I've been looking into Sonography.

  • What are guilty pleasures food wise?

I have a lot of guilty food pleasures haha but I looove fries and cookies (preferably oreos or soft chocolate chip).

  • How do you cope under the pressures of being a model?

I guess right now, since modeling is just a hobby, I don't really have many pressures.  I'd say hanging out with my friend really just brings back to reality of what's really matters in life.

  • What beauty tips do you swear by?

My beauty tip is really just take care of your skin like exfoliating and moisturizing .Your skin will play a big part on how your make-up will lay and even just a natural glow on make-up less days.

  •  If a young girl/boy wanted to be a model what would your advice for them be?

I would tell them ,just like anything else, if you want to get good at something you practice, Also don't be something or someone you're not,.Just because someone is taking certain types of pictures and getting lots of likes off of it doesn't mean it's for you. Find your style, see what works well for you and only when you're comfortable, venture out and try something new.

  • What made you first become a model? Watching and following unique models who worked hard to overcome different barriers is what made me want to become a model. The beautiful models that have influenced the beauty world made me want to do the same.
  • How did you feel when you did your first ever fashion show or photo shoot? I felt very comfortable and as if modeling was natural for me during my first photo shoot. I definitely knew that I needed a little more work to do as far as showing my confidence and full personality, however, I felt really great about it and it was a lot of fun.
  • Who was your role model as a child an how did that help in being a model? My role model as a child was my Grandmother. Although she wasn't a model she was graceful and everything that she did and she always was herself which inspired me to do the same and show my personality not only with my words but within my pictures.
  • What did your parent first think of you being a model and where they supportive? My parents actually asked if I want to model before I even knew for sure if I wanted to be a model. They saw something in me that I didn't see in myself. Their love and support pushed me to follow my dream and work to be the best that I can be.
  • How do you feel about the controversy of the size 0 debate in the industry? I feel that the size 0 debate has decreased in the modeling industry. I believe that many people are coming to the realization that there are beautiful models of all shapes and sizes who should be given the opportunity to follow their dreams.
  • If your were not a model, what other profession would you have been doing instead? If I were not modeling a profession I would give me all in is Makeup Artistry.
  • What are guilty pleasures food wise? My food-related guilty pleasure of mine would be Snicker's bars.
  • What beauty tips do you swear by? One main beauty tip that I swear by is adequate sleep. Getting enough rest reduces stress and improves our mood. When we feel good we look good.
  • How do you cope under the pressures of being a model? Dealing with the pressure of being a model and following my dream comes with a lot of self-practice, prayer, and positive self-talk to keep pushing and never giving up no matter the circumstance.
  • If a young girl/boy wanted to be a model what would your advice for them be?  If a young girl/boy wanted to be a model what would your advice for them be? The advice I would give to aspiring models like myself is work hard daily, do tons of research, never give up on your goal, and never forget your purpose.

  • What made you first become a model?

Honestly, I've never wanted to be In this industry. I always thought I was to TOMBOYISH!! Being a model was never in my plans. My goals where to become a pediatric doctor and be the first woman in the NBA (I know cliché). Modeling was something that I was just born to do, sorry to sound so arrogant. I started my journey off Early @ 8 years old with Ebony Arrington. Later around 14, I was signed by John Robert Powers but after meeting with them I quit. At 18 I was signed by John Casablanca in Memphis, Tn but shortly quit again because my PR(personal Rep) had retired. So truthfully I never envisioned myself being such a idol that others look up to.

  • How did you feel when you did your first ever fashion show or photo shoot? The very first show I every did was in Memphis at LeMoyne Owen College. I was overwhelmed and nervous at the same time but once I hit the runway and people screamed my name I knew I was exactly where I belonged. My first photoshoot I really don't recall but still until this day I get butterflies every time I get In front of a camera. I'm told I photography well but i still have a shy personality around the cameras
  • Who was your role model as a child an how did that help in being a model? Growing up as a child, your gonna laugh but Sanaa Latham was my role model. I wanted to be the first woman in the NBA and I wore 32 like Magic #SERIOUSLY, but as I got older reality set in. I looked up to my mother and grandmother I admired there strength and the tough love they dishes out because it helped mold me into the Woman I am today. My mother always told me that modeling was my calling but I didn't listen and went and inked my body but I wish I would've listened now she saw something in me at 8 that I didn't even see in myself!
  • What did your parent first think of you being a model and where they supportive? My mother has been supportive every step of the way. My mother and Aunt will allow me to travel and sponsor my trip if needed to get me to where I need to go. I am very grateful for them because they push me to strive and never give up on my goals.
  • How do you feel about the controversy of the size 0 debate in the industry? The size requirements was and has always been one of the main reasons that turned me away because I've never been a 0. With modern say society and technology the standardized definition of a Model is changing. It's not realistic that all human women wants to be a 0.
  • If your were not a model, what other profession would you have been doing instead? I'm a part time model now, but if I had the option to choose I would be in movies. Acting is something I'm looking into now trying to break into all barriers of the industry. My current profession is me being a Court clerk. And starting May I will Be Focusing On my masters degree.
  • What are guilty pleasures food wise? Pickles
  • How do you cope under the pressures of being a model? I box or workout when things tend to get to a little bit too tough. I pray more so than box but boxing definitely helps with stress.
  • What beauty tips do you swear by? Having a good face regimen works wonders for the skin. Also suga SCRUB
  • If a young girl/boy wanted to be a model what would your advice for them be? To focus and never get discouraged. What's for you is for you never try to base your success off the next person. Keep ya eyes on the prize and God first because through him ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

  •  What made you first become a model?

The first time I thought about being an actual model would have to be when I was little I always loved to dress up and take pictures. Then as I got older, I loved and still love to watch ANTM, & that's where my idea of modeling came from.

  • How did you feel when you did your first ever fashion show or photo shoot?

My first fashion show, I was very nervous !! My mom and sister was out there and I remember walking down the catwalk and seeing them as I graduated Barbizon. My first photo shoot however I was also nervous but more so lost. I didn't know how to pose and didn't have much direction. I just had to learn from trial & error.

  • Who was your role model as a child an how did that help in being a model?

My role model as a child, would probably be Kimora Lee Simmons. I remember watching a reality show she had at the time when she was also running baby phat, modeling, doing run way and just about her business and brand and from there it kind of shaped into what I liked and didn't like and how I wanted to be portrayed.

  • What did your parent first think of you being a model and where they supportive?

My mom was supportive & my step dad actually put the money into me going to my first modeling school. He would take me and pick me up from the modeling school where I learned a lot.

  • How do you feel about the controversy of the size 0 debate in the industry

I actually hated being soo skinny when I was younger but as you grow up, you learn to love yourself no matter what. It doesn't matter what size you are, don't let anyone make you feel bad about yourself. Your body is perfect & there is nothing wrong with being a size 0 or 14! Embrace the body God gave you!!

  • If your were not a model, what other profession would you have been doing instead?

I would still be in the fashion Industry, I love clothes as well and would love to eventually have my own clothing line.

  • What are guilty pleasures food wise?

Guilty pleasures, I love soul food!!

  • How do you cope under the pressures of being a model?

I remain humble and surround myself around close friends and family and just have fun. From there they always make me feel ten times better. I also make time for myself to just relax or sometimes I write poems and that really helps.

  • What beauty tips do you swear by? FACIALS!! And getting a skin care routine together is a must !!
  • If a young girl/boy wanted to be a model what would your advice for them be?

Chase your dreams & you can do what ever it is your heart desires !! Let no on e stop you and let all the hate and negativity be your motivation. Also, just stay true to yourself and give it your all.
